Indeed! I'm recommending Ernest Becker's Denial of Death to everyone now. I'm about halfway in and feel like as soon as I'm done, I'll just want to start over. Amazing survey of Kierkegaard and Freud and so many others, and full of brutal truths I have always loved because they tend to light a fire under me that helps me get to the important stuff. I'm guessing that you as an artist also appreciated it. Thanks for bumping it up in priority on my reading list.
I did enjoy it, though I consumed it as an audio book, so there were parts that sent me into a dream or snooze, as might be expected. There are some truths in it, for sure. Will listen again, methinks.
