Saturday, while attending my 40th College Reunion at Grinnell, I gave a short poetry reading at the Pioneer Bookshop in downtown Grinnell.
It was an overwhelming experience! According to store management, 120 people showed up.
During the reading, I looked out at an attentive audience that shared both tears and delight.
Afterwards, I was glued to my chair, signing books for attendees for nearly 45 minutes.
